The Four vital components of a Kinetic Mesh® network for mass transit systems
A Rajant Kinetic Mesh® network provides full mobility that provides all four of these vital components.
Train to Track Connectivity
Because there are multiple connections there is NO handover
No handover means there is no break in communication and therefore no loss of packets. This makes a Rajant Corporation’s InstaMesh® network suitable for latency sensitive applications
Simultaneously enables car-to-car and car-to-wayside connectivity
BreadCrumbs® can act as repeaters when fibre or other connectivity is absent
The Kinetic Mesh® network is self-forming, self-healing and self-tuning.
Car to Car connectivity
The Rajant Kinetic Mesh® networks forms a completely redundant mesh network with NO single points of failure both between cars and also between car and track. The system provides high capacity of up to 600Mbps and very low latency of typically less than 20ms.

A Rajant Kinetic Mesh® network was designed from the ground up for seamless mobility making it the ideal solution for connectivity without hand-offs to today’s fast moving trains.
For railroads the InstaMesh® network enables instant access to analytical data from applications running on each train. Monitoring equipment health, speed and location, wheel sensors, freight status, fuel consumption and any other IoT sensor requirement on a train.
