The MP-8260 series is a robust Point-to-Multipoint solution, designed for users who need both Multipoint Base Station and subscriber unit models. Operating within the 6.4 GHz band, it provides all the advanced features of Proxim’s 5 GHz MultiPoint products while benefiting from a less crowded spectrum. This series supports up to 300 Mbps over a 40 MHz channel, ensuring reliable, high-speed connectivity for a variety of applications. It features 2×2:2 MIMO technology, enhancing data transmission up to 300 Mbps at 40 MHz. The modulation is OFDM, supporting BPSK, QPSK, QAM16, and QAM64. The frequency range covers 5.900 – 6.425 GHz, subject to country regulations, and channel sizes include 5, 10, 20, and 40 MHz options.
